Erick Thohir: Thank You For President's Trust In The Transformation In Ministry of Youth and Sports

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia, Erick Thohir, expressed his appreciation for President Prabowo Subianto's confidence in giving his side the freedom to carry out bureaucratic transformation.

Erick said that the transformation of the bureaucracy is one of the directives of the Head of State applied in all ministries and agencies. He will continue to work to implement the directive by making various adjustments in governance.

“The president is pushing for bureaucratic transformation in all ministries and agencies. Thank God we also at Kemenpora carried out the direction of the President and he gave us the freedom to transform,” said Erick in Jakarta, Wednesday (12/8).

According to Erick, the transformations undertaken by Ministry of Youth and Sports began to show results. One of them can be seen from the improvement in performance, which now reaches 83 percent based on the assessment of the Minister-RB.

“As previously reported, the increase in our example now stands at 83 percent. Thank you Mr RB for accompanying us. We will push on even though it has increased a lot,” said Erick.

In addition to improved performance, Erick said  Ministry of Youth and Sports again obtained a Reasonable Opinion Without Exceptions (WTP) from the Financial Examiner Agency (CPK). Erick considers the achievement to be another proof that the internal reform of Kemenpora is giving positive results.

“Thank God we met the CPC, we got WTP back, and this is a positive thing,” explained Erick.

Erick added that the improvement of WTP's performance and achievements are two indicators that show that various improvements continue to be made in Ministry of Youth and Sports .

“These two things prove, we have made a lot of improvements and we have to be transparent,” concluded Erick.
