Kaye Adams not returning to BBC Scotland radio role

Radio presenter Kaye Adams will not be returning to her BBC Scotland programme.

The broadcaster was taken off Mornings With on BBC Radio Scotland last year following an internal complaint about her conduct.

Adams, 63, who has been contacted for comment, said in October that her name had been "dragged through the mud" and that the corporation had not given her the details of the allegations.

The Times has now reported that some complaints against Adams were upheld, but others were rejected. The BBC said it would not comment on individuals or internal processes.

The corporation said the presenter line-up on BBC Radio Scotland would remain the same in the "immediate future".

Connie McLaughlin will present Mornings With from Monday – Wednesday, with Stephen Jardine presenting on Thursday and Friday.

Adams, who was born in Falkirk, has worked as a journalist and presenter for nearly 40 years.

She initially joined BBC Scotland in 2010 to host Call Kaye, a daily phone-in programme, which ended in 2015.

Adams has also been a regular panellist on the ITV talk show, Loose Women.

A spokesman for BBC Scotland said: "With regard to the presentation line up on Mornings With, Kaye Adams will not be returning to this role.

"In the immediate future Connie McLaughlin will continue to present Mornings With on Mondays to Wednesdays, with Stephen Jardine presenting on Thursdays and Fridays."

Last year, the BBC launched its "Call it Out" scheme to enable staff to challenge and report poor behaviour in the workplace.
