MP Dan Norris remains on conditional police bail
A suspended Labour MP has been arrested for a second time accused of a string of sexual offences.
Dan Norris was first arrested in April 2025 on suspicion of sexual offences against a girl, child abduction, and rape. Police are no longer investigating the child sexual offences or abduction.
The former West of England Mayor remains under investigation for rape and has been further arrested on suspicion of raping a second woman, sexually assaulting a third woman, voyeurism and upskirting against a number of women.
All the offences are alleged to have occurred between the 2000s and 2020s.
Norris is also being investigated for misconduct in a public office, Avon and Somerset Police said.
The 66-year-old was elected as the MP for North East Somerset and Hanham, defeating Conservative MP Jacob Rees-Mogg, in July 2024.
The police investigation into Norris was started in December 2024.
At the time of his initial arrest, he was the Mayor of the West of England. His term came to an end in May, when he was replaced by Helen Godwin.
