Bournemouth determined to hold on to Kroupi, Rayan and Scott this summer

Bournemouth are determined to resist any summer offers for Eli Junior Kroupi, Rayan and Alex Scott with mounting interest in the trio. The club are confident Scott will sign a new long-term contract despite interest from Premier League rivals and Europe’s biggest clubs are monitoring the 19-year-olds Rayan and Kroupi, revelations since signing.

Scott has been a standout performer for Bournemouth, who qualified for the Europa League, and the club are keen to reward their £25m buy from Bristol City three years ago with a new deal.

Scott was called up to the England squad in November and although he was not named in Thomas Tuchel’s 26-man World Cup squad, the 22-year-old will travel to Florida next month for England’s training camp. The Guernsey-born midfielder could make his senior debut in friendlies against New Zealand or Costa Rica.

Kroupi became the first teenager to score 13 goals in their debut Premier League season after arriving last summer from Bournemouth’s sister club Lorient. Rayan, who joined from Vasco da Gama in January, is in the Brazil squad for the World Cup. Bournemouth expect Kroupi, a £12m buy, to stay for at least another season and although there is a €100m (£87m) release clause in Rayan’s contract, it is understood it does not come into play until the 2027 summer window.

Bournemouth have traditionally been open to trading players, but of their recent high-profile departures only Dean Huijsen left after one season. Last May, Real Madrid activated the £50m release clause in his contract.

Bournemouth will play in Europe for the first time after Andoni Iraola led the club to a record sixth-placed finish, despite more than £250m in sales of key players during the season. Iraola’s next move is unclear, with Milan joining Crystal Palace and Bayer Leverkusen in setting their sights on the coach.

Bournemouth want to add three or four players. Their main priorities are a centre-back to replace the Argentina defender Marcos Senesi, who will leave on a free and has interest from Liverpool and Tottenham, and a striker to compete with Evanilson.
