Espen B says: “Abraham, who Emery clearly doesn’t rate at all has scored for Villa, an academy kid has scored for United, Koumas and Nyoni were arguably Liverpool’s best players last night. Yes, it’s the Carabao/milk/league cup against semi reserve sides but considering all these teams have struggled so far this season, maybe their respective managers should rethink a little bit and play players on merit, not transfer value or name recognition?”

Everton 0-0 Wolves: Grealish pings a shot but Virginia pushes it away. That is about as good as it’s got for the prime minister and his mate.
